As you and your team begin attending in-person events again, here are 10 tips to help you make the most of the networking opportunities. Networking at a conference is the most important part of attending an in-person event. Too many people hope to make connections and then fail at networking.

1. Have a plan
2. Bring business cards
3. Focus on meeting colleagues, not the 'stars'
4. Talk to the people around you
5. Ask questions of others
6. Put away your technology
7. Don't send a LinkedIn request too quickly
8. Read their social media feeds
9. Introducing people to each other
10. Post-event follow-up
11. Go a little extra
