Had the opportunity to attend the Rock Your Profile event hosted by Charlotte Lee – and even had the privilege of Leanne Wang personally coaching me on improving my profile.

Even though I use LinkedIn daily, there are still new things I learned and took away from this session.

️It is important to have an EXCELLENT profile to stand out from the crowd. LinkedIn makes it easy by asking you what to fill out next on your profile.

It takes time to do this, but to get started, get a professional photo and your name updated so whoever you're trying to connect with can put a name on your face!

️ Send a personalized message when you send a connection request. This can help you stand out from the other people who just sent a request without any context.

‼ Make sure your message brings value or joy to whoever you're trying to connect with, especially if you're trying to get them to help you. Find out what's important to them (you may even be able to find it on their LinkedIn profile) – and see where you can add value for them.
