If you are a language teacher looking for ideas for speaking activities for your students in your classes, then this video is for you. Russell will present some speaking ideas using a well-known tool in education called Padlet. These activities that you can create for free are all different and can be ideal for any language including English, Spanish, French, German etc. Russell will also show you how to maximize the use of the free Padlet by archiving your activities .
5 great ideas, how to use free Padlet to create speaking activities in any language.
The first idea is to have students upload a photo and add an audio recording of how the two are connected. Students can upload their own photo, which makes the exercise personal as they can talk about their own experiences and ideas.
Then Russell shows you how to use the mapping features in Padlet to post a recording about a place you know, have visited, or would like to visit.
The third interesting activity format is the idea of using Timeline, where you can add information about yourself or other people. This could be about anything that happened in the past. This can be done in both written and audio form. The timeline can also be edited at any time, allowing you to add more content and make changes.
There are a limited number of free Padlets you can use, but you can always archive your Padelts to free up space and maximize free space.
An introduction is the next great way to use a Padlet, where students can introduce themselves to the class and turn on the comments so participants can add additional questions. This is a fun way to make use of all the content your students produce.
Finally, you can use the free Padlet as a discussion board where students can post their ideas on a topic or answers to a question.
All these activities are designed to practice the oral skills of a language using the free version of Padlet. A great way for teachers to get students working together in class and practicing language skills.
