From taking someone's reserved seat to pickling stinky food on the train. Here are our six unwritten rules for European train travel.
1. Don't talk loudly.
2. Don't take someone's reserved seat and pretend you don't know what he or she is talking about
3. Only take luggage that you can carry yourself
4. Don't take smelly food on the train
5. Let people get off the train before you try to get on the train
6. Using the automatic ticket machines is always faster than queuing at the ticket booth.
