I've been traveling at home and abroad for years and have found 7 apps that I can't live without. Read this list and why I love them and share it with friends who love to travel

1. @citymapper – I found this in 2017 and it saved me from traveling through London, Paris and Berlin for the first time. It also helped me navigate the subway system, even though I had never seen a subway in my life. I have NEVER gotten lost (not even once) while using this app, and have even helped my friends get around like a pro

2. @loungebuddy – I'm sure I'll be using this app more next year as I start my life as a full-time traveler, but it has helped me find airport lounges in a snap. Enter any upcoming trips and credit/debit cards you have and you will be shown which lounges you have access to and where to find them. Don't miss out on things you have already paid for or are entitled to.

3. @skyscanner – I love this app for finding and comparing flights. You can search for both outbound and return flights, and also have an open date or destination if you want to be more flexible. Saves me time and headaches searching hundreds of sites for cheap rates.

4. @notionhq – I recommend any way you can make a list and check it twice. This is a handy platform that I use to create lists and boards that run on automatic to keep my travels organized. I even have a trip planner template that I created so I can keep track of all my travel plans, confirmation numbers, and flight bookings. It also tells me what I forgot (so I don't forget to book that hotel for the second half of my stay!)

5 and 6. Translate App and Currency Converter – These app types are a dime a dozen, so choose one that is free and can be used offline so you don't incur data charges.

7. @getyourguide – This app (and company) is AMAZING! Not only can you book guides and tours, they also have entrance tickets to attractions and transportation. It's a one-stop shop to turn your trip into an adventure!
