Andreas Schulze-Bonhage, PhD, University Medical Center Freiburg, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, discusses the integration of wearable devices into comprehensive patient care for the treatment of epilepsy. Prof. Schulze-Bonhage comments on advances in wearable technology, such as improvements to the sensors used and developments in the assessment of data collected with wearable technology, such as improvements to machine learning techniques. There is a need to continue improving the sensitivity and specificity of wearable devices before introducing them into daily patient care. This interview took place at the 14th European Epilepsy Congress (EEC) 2022 in Geneva, Switzerland.
