A staggering 250+ watts of continuous power from this Turgo Micro Hydro system. I travel to an off-grid Yurt to meet Eric in Western North Carolina. He shows off his Micro Hydro Turgo setup. It provides all the power he needs to run basic appliances like a coffee maker, mini-split air conditioner, and lights. This setup has a coanda screen feeding 700 feet of 4 inch PVC pipe penstock. The head pressure is 57 feet of drop, which results in 25 psi at the turgo. Eric has a few sprinkler sizes that he can swap out for a change in flow rate in the creek. In the summer he uses a single 5/8" sprinkler that puts out a constant 250 watts.
