Functional safety certification for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) is highly ambiguous because standards are written as the robotics industry develops products and creates the process to certify them. An AMR process has been defined and is being developed further, providing a path for the selection of a standard and the definition of analyzes to be performed at various stages of product development to verify that requirements are met.
