In this video you will learn about the basics of computational drug discovery. To enhance the learning experience, I also use simple illustrations to explain key concepts. Computational drug discovery utilizes several domains consisting of statistics, machine learning, cheminformatics and bioinformatics as applied to the way biological and chemical entities (proteins and compounds) interact, which in turn leads to changes in metabolic pathways (which ultimately cause observable phenotypic changes such as disease onset, progression or even healing.
