Many universities and colleges have really embraced wearable technology. When they choose to purchase Apple products, there is a powerful way to manage these devices. Using Apple's DEP and an MDM server allows IT to track devices, update software, manage profiles and, most importantly, give end users the feeling of using their own device. This gives the end user a tremendous sense of ownership, resulting in the end user being more productive and taking better care of the device.
