What you learned:
• Designing for the viewport: Since these experiences are viewed through a mobile device, it's important to think about scale and framing. Sometimes smaller compositions will read more clearly.
• Your attendee's height: Consider your target audience and how tall they are so you can create an experience they can easily see.
• Create readable text: To ensure readability, consider using bold fonts, outlines, outer gloss, or backgrounds to contrast the text with the surrounding world.
• Eliminate clutter: Editing, timing things independently, and only communicating what is needed when it is needed will create a much clearer experience for a participant.
• Scale and proximity: Our brains are built to navigate a 3D world, so we inherently understand how big or small, close or far an object is from our body. This makes scale and proximity two very powerful tools in AR.
