This video demonstrates the basic demonstration of the Da Vinci robot: How a surgical robot works? Compared to traditional techniques of open surgery and laparoscopic surgery, the very small incisions made by robotic surgery dramatically reduce the time patients spend in the hospital and their risk of infections. The use of high-definition 3D cameras allows surgeons to take close-ups of areas they cannot see during open surgery. Fully articulated robotic arms mimic the movement of the hands, giving surgeons greater dexterity and control than possible with conventional laparoscopic instruments.
