The eye-tracking technology that will control Apple’s upcoming product, the Vision Pro augmented headset, has tech reviewers in awe. But it’s been around in one form or another for more than a decade now, when I got to try it out myself.

One of the leaders in the space is a Swedish tech company called Tobii, which sells hardware using this eye-tracking technology. I’m trying out their glasses and seeing what’s possible now with eye-tracking technology, showing how it works, and seeing what the potential future looks like for products using this tracking.
