How do these do without a subscription? Almost the same. You lose the thumbnail when browsing saved videos. They take a bit longer to load…still only a second or two. Live views are not saved (that's when you click the camera icon to monitor manually).

Otherwise they do everything I need without paying the monthly fee. Videos start when motion is detected and are saved to a USB stick connected to the Sync Module.
