I've looked at many security systems, but few are at a point where I can recommend them. Some are reasonable but require a monthly fee to get full functionality, others are just a pain to set up and don't work very well.

This one really surprised me. Very affordable cameras, easy to set up, no significant limitations on cloud server storage and runs on AA batteries with a battery life of months/years depending on how you set everything up.

The low price comes with few compromises, although the cameras don't have built-in night vision. Instead, they use an ultra-bright LED/"illuminator" and a very sensitive sensor that works well enough. But in low-light situations, the camera slows down the shutter speed, so images can be blurry, especially if the subjects are moving.

I'm curious about their upcoming outdoor camera with night vision. I've ordered one and will make a sequel when it comes out.
