With the proliferation of cloud services that collect and use user data to deliver personalized experiences, it has become a business imperative to ensure that these services adhere to their privacy policies to build user trust. However, most compliance efforts in the industry today rely on manual review processes and audits designed to protect user data, and are therefore labor-intensive and lack coverage. In this article, we present our experience building and operating a system to automate privacy policy compliance checking in Bing.
