A scientific research team has discovered a groundbreaking method for extracting water from lunar soil, which could revolutionize future space travel.

Researchers from the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering (NIMTE), part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, have developed an innovative technique that can produce up to 76 kilograms of water from just one ton of lunar soil. That's enough to meet the daily hydration needs of 50 people.

Their remarkable achievement was revealed Thursday in the prestigious, internationally peer-reviewed scientific journal Innovations.
