Why upgrade a microphone first?

We assume that you have a PC that can run a decent stream quality, then the most important purchase is a good microphone, if someone comes along and you stream 720p or even 480p he/she is usually okay with it, but if your audio hurts hurts their ears or doesn't sound right, I promise they will leave.

There are plenty of affordable USB microphones that sound great, and you can take them to even greater heights if you apply the right filters that are free and come with OBS and Slobs. Our recommendation in this video is the Samson Q2u.

What are the best webcams and lights for streamers?

Your lighting is really what will make or break the quality of your webcam or camera. You can get some cheap Neewer 90W LED panels or the Dazznee D50 panels are great too.

I use the Logitech C922 Pro and then use these little LED light panels to illuminate myself.

This little light is enough to illuminate my face, and then I manually set my webcam settings, which is what you should actually do, press a custom LUT that I made for myself to make the colors look nice, and we are ready to go.

The lights behind me aren't that bright so I stand out and they make the background look nice, which is important. You should try to make your background look nice or grab a cheap green screen.

The style of this video is similar in parts to Alpha Gaming and Gaming Careers. A major influence on this series comes from content creators such as Wild4games and Nutty.
