Building a Lower Power Linear Actuator with Arduino: Quite a few people have asked me to downsize openDog to make it lighter and cheaper, so I thought I'd discuss the options in this video. I use a motor with an encoder and an Arduino Uno to control the position and speed.

You can get the CAD and code from: https://github.com/XRobots/Actuator_Linear

My open source robot dog project. It involves everything from 3D printing to coding, including a lot of CNC cutting and installing all the electronics yourself.

If you want your own four-legged friend to play fetch and go on long walks, then this is the perfect project for you. So a dog can literally just be at Christmas. The full CAD is available at the link below for anyone who would like to build their own CAD.

①GENIUM

No MacArthur grant yet. But while I'm still on the phone waiting for that call, maybe you can patronize me with your Patreon age. Or, if you're out of digital money, just comment on one of my hilarious Instagram photos, send me a tweet, or just shout in my direction.

Big thanks to my patrons, without whom my standard of living would drop drastically. Like the Farm Foods bag drop inside out. Plus a very special shoutout to Aleph Objects, Inc who keeps me in the LulzBot 3D printers and supports me through Patreon. https://www.lulzbot.com/

Why not join my community, which is largely made up of true geniuses. There's a Facebook group and stuff: https://www.facebook.com/pg/xrobots.co.uk/community

②XROBOTS

Former toy designer, current YouTube creator and general robotics, electrical and mechanical engineer. I am a fan of doing it yourself and innovation through trial and error. On my channel I share some of my useful and not so useful inventions, designs and maker advice. Iron Man is my favorite cosplay, and 3D printing can solve most problems: broken bolts, missing parts, world hunger, you name it.

XRobits is the community around my content where you can reach out, share tips and advice, and more FAQs about building, schematics and designs are also available.
