Distance runners need a good footstep and this shows good running technique. Often a mistake is made when overstepping due to a slow cadence or stride frequency. This leads to a heel strike, but often runners try to correct this form by forcing a toe strike or landing on their toes! Ideally, you should land more with the midfoot or the whole foot…not even a forefoot landing (unless you're a sprinter or going uphill!). Follow us for more running tips from a professional coach!
