Every summer, like clockwork, Samsung releases their latest wearables, this time the Galaxy Watch6 and Watch6 Classic. This release offers two different form factors, most notably bringing back the physical rotating bezel on the Watch6 Classic edition. Samsung has also tweaked some new features on the hardware front, including a brighter display and a slight change to the battery and processor. The screen size has also increased significantly, within a 20% larger display area compared to previous watches. All this while adopting Google's Wear OS 4 version, as well as Samsung's new One UI 5 watch skin.

On the sports and fitness front, the company has added a new running track mode, which records your GPS track and distances to the track, as well as new auto-detected/personalized heart rate zones. They also expanded their sleep analysis to include sleep consistency and sleep animal symbols.

This review focuses heavily on the health/fitness/sports side of the watch, although I do of course discuss some of the new hardware features (like the bezel and battery) in the basic section. As usual, this review is not sponsored. In this case, I purchased these units myself. For some strange reason, where I live in the Netherlands, Samsung watches go on sale at retailers immediately after launch. I have no idea why this is the case, but it allows me to buy this before the rest of the world.
