Dhigufaru Island Resort Maldives – Beach Villa Boaku – How do I book the cheapest resort?

I know that many people are concerned when they see that room rates at Agoda are cheaper than at other parties. Don't worry, agoda is part of booking.com. You can book without prepayment and use the free cancellation policy if you want to change your mind. To ensure there is no confusion, I usually book through agoda and then contact the resort via email or phone to confirm the booking information.

15 years ago, booking last minute was the way to get a good deal. However, with revenue management, hotels estimate how many rooms they will sell at the lowest rates, and they normally sell to the first bookers.

There are 3 ways to book:

1. Contact the resort directly, it may take 1 to 2 days to respond. This will help you know the package of the resort. But I see that the price is higher than a website agency, about 30%, and you have to deposit.

2. Via local travel agency. They will show you some packages to choose from or you can submit a request, they will show you the price of your request. Sometimes they have a good deal, but you have to deposit. I'm not sure if that's safe. I still need to contact the hotel to make sure it is their agency

3. Via online booking websites such as booking, agoda, expedia… I think this is the cheapest. You should book immediately if you know your vacation time. Don't worry, you don't have to pay right away and you can easily cancel 7 days before check-in. My experience is that you need to book a room 3 to 5 months in advance and agoda has the best price. Book now and cancel when you see a better deal.

I suggest you book through agoda as I think it is the cheapest and especially as they have a “lowest price policy” since 2019. If you find another website with a lower price than your booking, they will match or beat that rate. Once you pay, they will refund it. I tried it and it worked.

Use the link above to get 5% back after your stay is complete. Since most hotels have a free cancellation policy 7 days before arrival, it is very easy to cancel your bookings.

2. When should you go?
A sun-drenched beach destination, the Maldives is bustling with tourists all year round. Although monsoons generally last from April to August, the weather in the Maldives is generally warm. The high season for tourists lasts between December and April, when a number of Europeans come to enjoy the warm winter sun.

3. What should I pack?
– An adapter: Most luxury hotels will provide you with an adapter, but you will need to bring your own in case they don't have one or you need more than one.

– An underwater camera: you'll take some fantastic photos while discovering the amazingly colorful marine life of the Maldives! I recommend getting a GoPro before your trip

– Snorkeling equipment: some resorts require a mask and fins, others do not. But if you want to have your own set and don't want to use something that has already been worn by others, it is always better to take one with you!

– Swimwear: 2-3 light swimsuits contrast beautifully with the turquoise water. If I were you I would go for 1 white, 1 orange or red (they make a very nice combination with the magical, turquoise sea) and maybe a blue one or one with a tropical print

– Fitflops: You'll be living in your slippers in the Maldives, so bring a pair that's tough enough to withstand the heat! I love my Fitflops – they've seen me at many beaches and destinations over the last seven years (yes, seriously. I haven't had to change them once!). They are super comfortable and my feet never get tired. Plus, they're meant to strengthen my butt while I walk. Still waiting for THAT to happen.

– Beach bag: where else do you leave your book and a lip balm when you go to the beach?
