In my latest adventure into smart home technology, I took on the ambitious project of transforming the exterior of my home with LIFX Outdoor Lights. I have to admit, the thought of adding so many Wi-Fi devices to my outdoor space was stupid and somewhat terrifying. But the lure of creating an everyday landscape lighting setup that would make my home shine like a beacon was too strong to resist. I long for these types of upgrades, not just for special occasions or holidays, but to enhance the beauty of my home on a daily basis.

The journey was not without its dilemmas, especially when it came to choosing between the big names in smart lighting – Philips Hue and Govee, ultimately settling on LIFX. Despite my concerns about Wi-Fi connectivity and the challenges it poses outdoors, the superior color saturation, brightness and overall design of LIFX lights won me over. It was a roller coaster of research, comparison and installation challenges, but when I look back and see my home now, lit up in vibrant colours, I can confidently say it was all worth it. The path wasn't just about lighting up my house; it was about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in smart home technology and creating a nighttime spectacle that really stands out.
