I recently made a video about emerging systems that aim to make Full Body Tracking for VR cheaper/more affordable. Well, literally 2 days after that: a big one was announced that it's in the works.

Instead of buying a system, you just need to connect two webcams or smartphones to your PC. And Steam VR + the software used.

This insanely robust tracking system tracks 16 tracking points on a user's body. And it is best to translate a person's movements smoothly/accurately into an avatar's animations.
