Why should I consider a Honeywell non-programmable thermostat?

Some of the most recognizable thermostats in the world are Honeywell's non-programmable thermostats. Non-programmable thermostats are easy to install and even easier to use, offering simplicity when it comes to accessing your home's heating or cooling. Honeywell programmable thermostats are available in manual and digital variants. Manual thermostats are an excellent choice for homes that prefer a fixed temperature. A digital thermostat is similar, but can be more accessible thanks to the LED screen. The availability of Honeywell Heat Only thermostats, Heat/Cool thermostats and even a temperature drop sensor in the Honeywell Winter Watchman ensures you have plenty of easy-to-use manual thermostats at your disposal.

What are some benefits of a Honeywell programmable thermostat?

Programmable thermostats offer even more flexibility and energy saving options than their non-programmable counterparts. This stems from a programmable thermostat's ability to preset heating or cooling settings. By creating separate temperature settings for each day of the week, you can reduce energy costs by accessing your heating and cooling when you really need it. Depending on the model you select, Honeywell programmable thermostats also include a range of features that improve quality of life. These can range from a filter change reminder, which keeps your system running efficiently, to smart response learning that actually adapts to your custom heating and cooling cycle times.

What is the difference between 5-1-1, 5-2 and 7 day programmable thermostats?

These numbers refer to the programming diagram for a thermostat. A 5-1-1 thermostat has a five-day schedule for Monday through Friday. You can also program Saturday and Sunday according to your schedule. A 5-2 thermostat is the same, but the weekend is lumped together instead of separately. A programmable thermostat for 7 days makes absolutely customization possible. You can program differently every day depending on your needs. If you are not satisfied, you are not bound by these settings. All Honeywell programmable thermostats can be manually controlled to override any established schedule.

What is a C-wire?

A common wire (C-Wire) provides continuous power to Wi-Fi thermostats by connecting them to a heating and cooling system such as a furnace. Honeywell Wi-Fi thermostats typically require C wires. An exception are Honeywell T5 Wi-Fi thermostats and Honeywell T9 Wi-Fi thermostats. Both come with an easy-to-install power adapter.
