The Extreme Robotics Lab specializes in creating robotics for use in extreme environments and situations. This demo shows a remote control vehicle that has its own intelligent control system, which can take control when it is confident it can complete the task, or, if the driver thinks the driver cannot complete the task! We will also show how to build a digital version of the vehicle's environment so that we can safely explore it as a digital twin using a virtual reality headset. Finally, we will use intelligent robot manipulation algorithms to control a robotic arm mounted on the vehicle.

Robot Lab Live is a virtual robotics showcase – hosted by the UK-RAS Network – featuring 16 of Britain's top robotics research groups. Each team will simultaneously showcase their advanced robots and autonomous systems to a live audience on YouTube.
