How the Department of Defense transitioned to Kubernetes and Istio – Nicolas Chaillan, Department of Defense

This session will highlight the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps initiative and its architecture. It describes how the Department of Defense is securing OCI-compliant containers and transitioning to Kubernetes and Istio, ensuring abstraction and scalability across hundreds of environments, including clouds, on-premises, and classified environments. It will specifically focus on the sidecar security stack, using Envoy and sidecar containers to ensure zero trust security and baked-in multi-layer security.
