In this video we are going to talk about how to increase your credit score with a secured credit card. So if you are new to credit and you want to build your credit score, then there are two main options available to you and one of them is to go for a secured credit card.

when increasing your credit score in 2019
If you want to increase your credit score a few more points, you will need to make a large deposit on your card when you get it. For example, when I got my Discover It Secured Card, I put $700 on it and when I got my Capital One Secured Card, I put $1,000 on it. And by doing that, I was able to grow my credit score from 0 to 700 points in just two months.

Other things that are important for building your credit score:

– Reduce your credit utilization! So when your credit card statement arrives, try to put as little money on your card as possible, but leave at least 1 percent of your total credit limit. Then, pay the card off in full each month as soon as your statement arrives.

– Never miss a payment. Missing a payment can seriously damage your score! So always make sure you pay off your card every month and consider setting up autopay for your credit card!
