With ADHD, procrastination is enormous. Nobody wants to do nasty things. But with ADHD, you may avoid doing things just because the size of the task seems too big. It may be that there are too many steps or you think it will take too long.

This video discusses how to accomplish tasks you would normally put off. The two tips for this are to combine pleasant activities with the unpleasant ones. This means that you have already generated the task list and identified which parts are unpleasant and how long it should take. You saw how to do that in the video that preceded this. You use the pleasant activity immediately afterwards as a reward to look forward to, or you do it simultaneously with the unpleasant activity. You can also create a comforting environment in which to perform the unpleasant activity to make it more bearable. Like taking bad-tasting medicine with something sweet. And you can adjust the time you do the hated things so that it's right before you do something you enjoy.

The second tip for completing tasks is to prioritize them in order of importance. This ensures that less time is wasted on unimportant matters, so that not all important matters become urgent. Fire drills cause more fire drills. And a constant state of urgency and catching up makes you extremely inefficient and neglect the things that are really important.
