How to download ALL your Google photos and videos?
I share how you can download individual photos and videos from Google Photos, as well as in bulk and by day or date… But this isn't great if you want to download the entire contents of all our photos and videos from Google to back them up -up or save to another storage. If you are facing Google Drive full storage problem, there is a way to backup your Google Photos by downloading them using Google Takeout.

** IMPORTANT ** Downloading via Google Takeout appears to remove the metadata for each photo, which is stored separately in .json files.
The only alternative that can save time or many taps and clicks is to put all the photos you want to download in one album (or a number of albums).
Select the photos (for example, by clicking on them and selecting them by days), then click the + button to 'create album'.
Go to the huge album (use the Albums tab on the left side of Google Photos and click on the album to download)
Click on the 3 dots at the top right of the screen and select 'download all'.
The album will be downloaded with the original metadata filenames intact.
The metadata appears to be there, but the creation date and modification date are the download date for me.
I hope this helps.

Also: I should have mentioned this in the video, but the downloads separate the metadata in the properties into separate files. I don't know why because it really doesn't help.
To download and keep the properties in the file, we need to download them directly from the Google Photos site.

One way to do this a little faster is to put the photos in albums and download the album one album at a time. I hear this keeps the properties intact.
