What are the most effective ways to network at academic conferences? I share my top 7 tips for broadening and strengthening your professional network!

I started attending academic conferences in psychology almost twelve years ago. From the very first conference, I have made it my goal not only to attend lectures and learn about the latest trends in psychology, but also to meet new people and build relationships. By focusing on networking, I was able to develop high-quality collaborations with top researchers in psychology and publish groundbreaking research on topics such as anxiety, depression, emotion regulation and mindfulness. Over the years I have shared my networking tips with students and colleagues. Today I share them with you!!!

Whether you're a graduate student or an aspiring professional (or elsewhere on your training journey!), I hope you try these networking tips the next time you attend a conference!!! If you do, let me know how it goes by leaving a comment below!

Are there any other topics in psychology that I would like to cover? Leave a comment below!
