After a lot of work, I'm ready to submit my article to a magazine – this is a great day! But often the submission process is mysterious and frustrating. I'll show you how to make the submission process painless and what to keep in mind when considering recommending editors and reviewers to peer review your manuscript.

This episode is part of a larger series of episodes examining the sensitivity and specificity of amplicon sequence variants (ASVs), also known as exact sequence variants (ESVs) and operational taxonomic units (OTUs). ASVs are becoming increasingly popular for analyzing microbial communities using 16S rRNA gene sequences. Proponents believe they should replace operational taxonomic units (OTUs). What do you think? Pat demonstrates these concepts by coding live on the command line interface using GitHub Flow, Make, and RStudio.
