Today we plan organic neighborhoods and downtown in vanilla Cities Skylines. Unlike the grid system, organic road layouts respect topography and are unique!

We will focus on building residential and commercial zones and expanding the city to the beach, mainly using an organic layout. By doing this we avoid the monotony of a grid layout, improve the hierarchy of roads and create beautiful neighborhoods that blend seamlessly with the natural environment.

In the center we create a linear pedestrian street towards the beach using the Plazas & Promenades DLC. However, topography can be a challenge for shopping streets, so we will also do some landscaping to solve this problem.

This series is informative and entertaining for beginners who want to learn tips and tricks for creating a unique city and road layout in Cities Skylines. As a city planner, I will use urban planning diagrams to explain the relationship between city planning principles and the game.
