Mandala means circle or disc-shaped object in Sanskrit. Mandalas represent different aspects of the universe and are used in Asian cultures as meditation tools and prayer symbols. Mandalas are normally arranged in sections organized around a central point and can have symbolic and meditative meaning. Outwardly, mandalas can be a visual representation of the universe and internally they can guide the meditation process.
