Watch a full video to learn how to send private messages in Clubhouse. In the clubhouse, users can chat with each other in writing and chat verbally with each other at the same time. The big difference between the social media app may be that it's audio-based, but even Clubhouse can't deny the practical benefits of being able to shoot off a quick DM.

To send a text message in Clubhouse.
1. Open clubhouse.
2. Tap the paper airplane in the bottom right corner of the screen.
3. Tap the pen and paper icon in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Type the name of the person you want to chat with and select it. If you follow their profile they will appear. You can also add more than one name, so you can form a group chat of up to 15 people.
5. Press Done and the text chat will open so you can type your written messages.

You can also send a message to people you don't follow. Simply navigate to their profile and click the paper airplane to the left of the follow button.
