What is iCloud? iCloud is cloud storage for Apple devices such as iPhone, iPad or Mac computers. Instead of taking up space on your iPhone, you can simply use iCloud. Your data is also backed up and stored securely on all devices.
It's been around since 2011. Everyone gets 5GB of free iCloud storage to get started and it's easy to upgrade at any time.
To use iCloud, go to icloud.com. Use your Apple ID to sign in to iCloud.
Once you sign up, you will immediately see a number of apps and services that you can use on the website.
You can access Email, Contacts, Calendar, Photos, iCloud Drive, Notes, Reminders, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, Find Friends, and Find iPhone.
You also have a settings option that shows you the storage, how the storage is used and all your devices.
One of the most underused features of iCloud is iCloud Drive, where you can store any document. This will also appear in your Mac's Finder window so you can save files easily.
This is similar to Dropbox or Google Drive.
