From my personal experience, Trivago does what it advertises. It shows you a list of hotels at the best prices. However, customers must do their own due diligence, and that applies to every purchase, whether online or in stores.

Here are some things to look out for on Trivago.
▶ By default, the list of hotels is in order of recommendation. You can change this to 'sort by price' instead.
▶ Always click on 'Show all offers' to check whether the list of hotels is sorted by price.
▶ Check the currency setting and make sure prices are listed in the correct currency.
▶ Check if the package and room type match your search.

If you do your research, Trivago is a great site to 'find the ideal hotel at the best price' as advertised in their commercial.
