I think this is the best course anyone can take to get introduced to computer science because of 1. the amazing professor David J Malan who makes every lecture feel like a movie and 2. the well-structured content of the course.
CS50 is Harvard University's introduction to the intellectual enterprises of computer science and the art of programming.
CS50 is the largest course at both Harvard and Yale University and the largest Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on edX, with lectures viewed by more than a million people on the edX platform.
CS50x, Harvard University's introduction to the intellectual enterprises of computer science and the art of programming for majors and non-majors alike, with or without prior programming experience. CS50x, an entry-level course taught by David J. Malan, teaches students to think algorithmically and solve problems efficiently. Topics include abstraction, algorithms, data structures, encapsulation, resource management, security, software engineering, and web development. Languages include C, Python, SQL and JavaScript plus CSS and HTML. Problem sets inspired by real-world domains of biology, cryptography, finance, forensics and gaming.
