Despite the lack of studies in this area, some studies have shown that virtual reality can have an impact on the developing brains of young children. Long-term exposure to a VR environment can negatively affect brain functioning in young children.
Young children may not have the reflexes to remove VR headsets if they are not properly fitted. Worse still, children can become so engrossed in the virtual environment that they ignore the discomfort.
