Jefferson County Cable reportedly uploaded false information to the Broadband Data Collection Fabric to prevent federal funding from being used by competitors to deploy service in their area. The company offers cable broadband service, with advertised plans of up to 100 Mbps downstream x 20 Mbps upstream. However, the information uploaded to the BDC claimed they had fiber service to addresses where they do not provide service.
