Some tips and tricks:

1. Travel light as much as possible.
2. Your day bag should not weigh more than 7-8 kilograms.
3. Use good sunscreen, even when it is cloudy.
4. Stay hydrated, Oral Re-hydration Salt (ORS) is your best friend during the trek.
5. Keep your pace as slow as possible, you don't have to run because it's not a race. take short breaks and enjoy the view around you.
7. To prevent blisters on your feet and toes, wear two pairs of socks, one light liner and the other wool socks.
8. Don't avoid food and water. You need energy for such long walks.
9. Sleep early at night, for stargazing you have nights before rest days.
10. Guides and porters are always ready to help you, be nice to them. They know more about appetite and therefore follow their instructions. Ask questions about each day's plan.
11. Stay on the designated path especially on the glacier. If you are off track, wait for porters or guides and follow their lead.
12. Most important /"Do not leave any rubbish during the trek/".
