Fancher Falls
If you are in the Cookeville or Sparta area of Tennessee, this is a great way to spend a free morning
→ Start/end at the Cookeville Boat Dock, where you can rent a kayak or SUP or book a tour to the falls
→ Further afield is Burgess Falls, about 14 miles round trip from the wharf if you're looking for a full-day kayaking expedition
→ Order a snack after the adventure in the café on the quay. Excellent service, tasty food and strong WiFi! They made me sit for hours to get my work done
→ Data and cell service are virtually non-existent in these parts. I learned this the hard way and got stuck in a heavy rain/lightning/thunderstorm the night before and couldn't reach anyone. So plan ahead!
