A London-based robotics company has unveiled a “food processor” that it promises to “cook from scratch and even clean up afterwards with no complaints”.

The robot costs €248,000, about the same as the average house in Britain, a price tag that the inventors acknowledge is high, but they insist they have already had serious interest from more than 1,000 potential customers.

The robot has two robotic arms with fully movable hands that allow it to remove ingredients from the refrigerator, change the temperature on the stovetop, turn on the taps to fill pans and put the meal on the table. The robot is also connected to the refrigerator and can track ingredient quantities and alert you when items are running low.
