Learning the basics is essential when it comes to software engineering. I know people want you to learn React, Angular, Blazor, ASP.NET Core and whatever, but always remember to invest as much time as you need in learning the fundamentals. Everything else builds on that foundation, and you want to make sure you understand what it will take to take the next step. Furthermore, the fundamentals typically do not change every year or with every version of a product or framework.
