I wanted to demonstrate what is considered a "simple" home automation addition, a z-wave switch. However, when you're dealing with 3-way and 4-way switches, the wiring can be quite difficult to understand.
My hope is that by showing how to accomplish a complex z-wave switch installation, it can teach the skills needed to perform any z-wave switch job.
This video is specifically focused on Leviton Z-wave switches. Not all switches are wired the same! But the principles are similar… and that's why I put so much emphasis on understanding the diagrams.
