The domain name system (DNS) is a central part of the Internet that, for example, maps a domain name
tshirt.com, to a physical IP address. It is a naming system that allows you to point a domain name to the web server that hosts the content of that specific domain name.
Computers and other connected network devices on the Internet have an Internet Protocol (IP) address, which consists of numbers that accept your request and direct you to the site you are trying to reach. DNS is essentially a protocol within a set of standards for the way computers exchange data on the Internet

Domain name registrars typically provide simple tools to manage a domain name's DNS records, so you can easily point your domain name to a name server. The Orderbox DNS zone for the domain will only be active if it points to our Reseller account, fully branded or partially branded servers.

The domain name system makes it easy to remember the domain names of websites instead of the complicated numeric IP address. It makes it easier for website owners to change the web hosts and servers without the need to change the domain name. Sometimes a website owner may register a domain name somewhere else and host a website on another service, in which case he can simply manage the DNS record and assign it under the new web host name.

Before you manage DNS records for domain names, it is important that you check the name servers. It is the name servers that determine the active DNS zone for a domain. If your domain name does not use our fully/partially branded name servers, you will need to contact the name server provider and manage the DNS records required in their DNS zone.

You can manage DNS records for your domain names when you change the services for your website and emails. For all domains using ResellerClub name servers, see the following steps to learn how to manage DNS records:

Log in to the reseller control panel of your reseller account (https://www.resellerclub.com/login)
Click on Products Select View all orders Click on the domain name
Scroll down to DNS Management. Click Manage DNS

With these steps, you can now log in to the DNS zone, where you can manage DNS records by adding or editing the following listed records:
– A record connects an IP address to a new host
– AAAA records map a hostname to an IPV6 address
– CNAME records are used to link new subdomains to an existing DNS record of a domain name.
– MX record is a list of mail exchange servers used for a domain name.
– TXT record is used to insert text into the DNS record for a domain name.
– SRV record is used to define a TCP service on which the domain name operates.
– SOA record stores important information related to the domain name, such as when it was last updated and more.
-NIS record specifies the name server associated with the domain name.
