Classroom management styles are divided into four different styles: authoritarian, authoritative, permissive, and lenient. This video lesson presents the different management styles in the classroom so that teachers and teachers can compare them with their own management style. The authoritarian style of classroom management is known for strict enforcement of rules, but very little teacher involvement. The lesson continues with the authoritative style, where teachers have control over their students, and the teacher also cares for their students. Other styles are the tolerant styles. One of the least effective styles in education. This style shows a teacher who does not really care about his students, nor has any control over their behavior. Finally, the permissive teacher, who cares for the students but has no behavioral expectations, classroom rules, or procedures. This video is part of an education lesson playlist designed to help teachers develop into better teachers. Other videos from the channel include the flipped classroom, project-based learning, lesson planning, differentiated instruction and more.
