Media Composer 8.6 introduced a change in the way we use Link to add clips to our trash. If you've been using Media Composer for a while, you probably remember AMA LINK. Back then, AMA LINK was changed to just LINK in our context menu. Now, we can access LINK via the Source Browser.

The Source Browser is structured much like Windows Explorer or the Finder on OSX, so you know how to use it. Find the clip or clips you want to link, make sure you select LINK in the lower left corner, and press the LINK button in the lower right. That’s the gist of using LINK in Media Composer 8.6 and later.

Of course, the Source Browser has many more features, some of which I discuss in the video, but that's all you need to know to use Link.
