Dr. Maxwell Cooper is a family physician training in diagnostic and interventional radiology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. He is the host of The DaVinci Hour Podcast where he interviews a variety of guests impacting healthcare, including Mark Cuban who discusses his low-cost pharmacy company Cost Plus Drugs. Dr. Cooper is also co-founder of DaVinci Academy, a company that offers YouTube video courses, digital textbooks and podcasts for medical students. We talked about how he developed these courses when he was in medical school.

In addition to podcasting and medical education, Dr. Cooper is also passionate about medical device development and is currently part of a team of interventional radiologists at Emory and engineers at Georgia Tech working on a device for monitoring early-stage dialysis access. We also talked about what he learned about device development, such as securing financing, intellectual property, and interacting with engineers.
