MENTAL ENERGY MANAGEMENT tips » The myth of relaxation // Why are so many people often stressed and tired? And why don't our current relaxation methods really help us feel better? And how can you manage your energy so that you can be productive and succeed, but without feeling exhausted? In this video you will get the answers 🙂

Instead of talking about time management, let's talk about energy management. How not to get tired and stressed, and how to work on health, self-care AND personal development. In today's society, success almost always equates to being very busy, experiencing stress, and feeling exhausted and drained. But hey, it's worth it. Or…….is that actually true?

As a minimalist, I apply the same principles of minimalism to my energy. I don't want to spend it on things that aren't important or that I don't enjoy. Of course, this is not something you have 100% control over. We all have to do things we don't like sometimes. But if you are very aware of how and when you spend your energy (just like if you are aware of how and when you spend money), you will gain valuable insights.

Our mental energy is a bit like a battery in that it has a maximum capacity and is a finite resource. It discharges and then recharges. There are a few tricks we can use to ensure that the battery level doesn't completely drain, making it necessary to charge for quite some time before we feel energized again. If you can implement these techniques in your daily life, you can get more done and feel better when you use them.

A quick survey gave me insight into how many people feel on a daily basis. Search terms like “how not to be tired now” and “how not to be tired in the morning” are a clear indication that people could use some mental energy manipulation, or a friendlier phrase: mental energy management. So let's talk about it.
